As reported Korean publication Naver (via SamMobile), Samsung could use a droplet-style hinge that would allow the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s display to form a teardrop shape when closed. Last week, Twitter confirmed that hackers had compromised some accounts on its platform. Developers created the flaw with a June 2021 update for its Android client, that allowed a bad actor to associate user accounts with email addresses and phone numbers. Twitter learned of the vulnerability through its bug bounty program in January 2022 and patched it immediately thinking that nobody had been affected. However, last month BleepingComputer reported it had found a database on a hacker forum containing the phone numbers and email addresses associated with over 5....

Rainbow Six Siege shows competitive performance using the GeForce GTX 1060. The Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 CPUs deliver the best minimum frame rates, but performance is much the same across the board. Even with the GTX 1070, results remains quite similar across the five CPUs tested, though we did see more variance here and the Pentium G4560 and FX-8370 are starting to lag behind. Meanwhile, the 2500K matched the R5 1400’s average frame rate but did dip slightly lower than the Ryzen 3 1200....

A recent interview with PC Gamer, Valve CEO Gabe Newell, began with a question about the possibility of Steam creating a Game Pass-like subscription service–a Steam Pass, perhaps. Newell said no, Valve was not interested. VideoLAN, the non-profit organization promoting the power of open source to rock the multimedia world, has just released a new version of VLC media player. VLC 3.0.18 is the 19th update of the “Vetinari” codebase, and is a much needed one for both casual users and longtime fans of the program. VLC media player 3.0.18 adds support for a few formats, improves adaptive streaming support, fixes some crashes and updates many third party libraries, VideoLAN said....

With everything turned up using the ultra quality settings with Temporal SMAA, Watch Dogs is very playable with mid-range GPUs at 1680x1050. Starting with the higher end models, the GTX 780 Ti had no trouble delivering 91fps while the GTX Titan and HIS R9 290X iPower IceQ X² Turbo 4GB averaged 88fps. A standard R9 290X was good for 86fps, which was quicker than the GTX 780’s 82fps. Ideally, you’ll probably want at least 40fps and that will require a GTX 660 or R9 265, with the GTX 660 Ti and R9 270 falling closer to 50fps, which was exceeded by the HD 7870 (R9 270X), HD 7950 and GTX 760....

Once you’re used to relying on a clipboard manager, it works out similarly as how you become more efficient with multiple monitors or virtual desktops. Just as the company was dealing with the fallout from the GTA 6 leak last month, Take-Two announced it had suffered another hack on September 19, though the victim this time was subsidiary 2K Games. The hacker managed to get hold of system credentials belonging to a vendor 2K uses to run its help desk platform. Once the threat actor gained access to customer email addresses, they sent out official-looking emails containing malicious links that would download password-stealing malware....
