According to Croley’s tweet, the mammoth GPU was tested against Microsoft’s well-known New Technology LAN Manager (NTLM) authentication protocol as well as the Bcrypt password-hacking function. All of the tests were conducted using Hashcat v6.2.6 in benchmark mode. Sega announced the bundle nearly a year ago as part of the blue mascot’s 30th anniversary celebration. Sony’s latest earnings report shows it shipped 3.9 million units during the holiday quarter, marking only a slight increase over the previous quarter’s 3.3 million units. As of December 31, 17.3 million PlayStation 5 consoles had been shipped in total, almost three million fewer than what the PlayStation 4 had managed during the same period after it launched. Sony just unveiled the Xperia 5 IV, a more compact version of its flagship phone released earlier this year. Compared to these 1440p devices, the X Performance boasts 60% better on-screen performance due to the lower resolution. The Adreno 530 is already capable of playing all the latest Android games at 1440p, so I didn’t experience any real in-game performance advantage at 1080p. However, if more graphically intense games get released in the next few years, the X Performance will be more suited to tackle them than its 1440p competitors....
