There is no end to the list of “crafty” things I’ve tried while looking for an unknown font. I’m sure someone that’s into graphic design or art in general can relate, as they’re forced to decipher obscure fonts all the time. You know the common “tricks”: pasting the text into a word processor in hopes that the formatting sticks, skimming the page’s source code for a hint and so on....
First, let’s remember the issues that had people outraged at Blizzard. Nobody wanted or asked for an auction house. Many cried “money grab” at the developer. Even more annoying was the forced online aspect of the game. Having to log in to Blizzard servers to play with friends is one thing, but the single-player campaign also required users to have an internet connection. Now we have the 2560x1600 crazy quality results and here the 970 and 390 produced similar performance despite the 970 being slightly slower. The 390 delivered 11% more performance and when looking at the mixed GPU results we received 16% more performance with the 390 as the primary card. The 390X was still able to beat the 980, this time by a still convincing 16% margin. The Fury X was 26% faster than the GTX 980 Ti at 1600p, which is obviously a massive performance advantage in favour of the Radeon graphics card....
Not to be surprised, 4K performance is only possible on top tier cards such as the Titan X, 980 Ti and Fury X. Obviously the Titan X provided the best performance, though the difference between it and the 980 Ti was negligible. Still, with a minimum of 40fps and averages of around 50fps, serious gamers will ultimately want something a bit faster and since SLI doesn’t work, the upcoming GTX 1080 might be the perfect solution....

May saw Bitcoin crash to its lowest level since 2020, wiping $1 trillion off the markets, and that was followed by lending-platform Celsius freezing withdrawals due to “extreme market conditions.” Ether’s price has been on the rise over the last week But crypto has experienced a mini-turnaround recently. At 1440p we find that much of the field struggles to keep the minimum frame rate above 30fps and failing to do so results in very choppy performance. The HD 7970 GHz Edition and GTX 680 are borderline playable at this resolution. Ideally, 1440p calls for the GTX 780 or R9 290 – both delivered similar performance to that of the GTX 970 and R9 390.
Although both require a similar initial investment and provide comparable overall performance, we found AMD package more attractive when taking upgradability into account as Intel’s BGA packaging sees Bay Trail-D chips soldered directly to motherboards. Increasing the resolution to 1920x1200 allowed the GTX 980 to extend its lead over the R9 290X to 5fps. Despite that, the R9 290 was still 1fps faster than the GTX 970 and the GTX 780 was slightly slower than the R9 280X and HD 7970. For an ideal 60fps, either the GTX 780 or HD 7970 is required, while the R9 285 and 7950 fell just short.

The idle consumption figures have the R9 290 Crossfire cards using a little more power than normal, though it’s hardly worth mentioning. The R9 290 Crossfire power consumption wasn’t as horrible as we expected when testing BioShock Infinite with the GTX 970s using only 8% less power. The GTX 970 SLI setup consumed 17% less power than the R9 290s when testing Metro: Last Light. Finally, when comparing power consumption performance with Tomb Raider we find that the GTX 970 SLI cards pulled just 7% less power than the R9 290s....
The Chaser MK-1 appeals to me in a similar way that Cooler Master’s HAF series does. Perhaps after stomaching that neon green Nvidia edition HAF X I’ve grown desensitized to outrageous looking cases. Whatever the situation, I can tolerate the Chaser MK-1, and even appreciate its design. As you can see the R9 390 handles Total War: Warhammer with relative ease, maintaining over 60 fps at all times in its out of the box form. Meanwhile overclocking helped us squeeze a few more fps out of the card. Once again in terms of performance it was very similar to the GTX 970 at 1080p. Moving to 1440p gives the 390 the edge over the 970 though I should emphasize that it’s only a very slight edge....
