The new card managed to outperform both the Radeon HD 4870 and GeForce GTX 260 at 1680x1050 and 1920x1200 when testing Far Cry 2. However, it was 2fps slower than the GeForce GTX 260 at 2560x1600. Overall performance in this game was good, with an average of 46fps at 1920x1200 with 2xAA enabled.

Our review sample hung a total of 6cm off the edge of our Asus P6T Deluxe motherboard used for testing. Cooling the Hemlock XT GPUs is a large aluminum heatsink made up of 36 fins. Breaking down the file copy tests, if we combine the three results to give us an average throughput, the OCZ Vertex 4 128GB comes first at 495MB/s. The Crucial m4 128GB came second with 473MB/s making it just 4% slower. From there the Samsung SSD 830 64GB came third with 450MB/s. However if we look at the price vs. performance ratio we find that the OCZ Vertex 4 128GB and Crucial m4 128GB are not the best absolute value, providing 4....

When dealing with large files the Kingston SNV425-S2 64GB really stood out taking just 77 seconds to complete the copy. The next fastest SSD was the OCZ Agility 2 40GB which took 112 seconds (46% longer). The ADATA S596 Turbo 32GB produced a similar result while surprisingly the OCZ Vertex 2 was 7% slower than the slightly cheaper Agility 2. You will see that the traditional 3.5" 7200-RPM hard disk drive does well here with a completion time of 127 seconds making it only slightly slower than the OCZ Agility 2, Vertex 2 and ADATA S596 Turbo drives....

According to a report by Cast AI, overprovisioning is the bane of efficiently using the cloud for containerized applications. Cloud spending is overtaking traditional IT spending, yet much of this money is wasted on unused computing resources because they aren’t needed. Cast AI analyzed data from thousands of clusters running cloud-based applications and services. The company found that, on average, 37 percent of CPU resources provisioned for cloud-native applications are never used....

In addition to the attack’s size, the use of HTTPS rather than typical HTTP requests further complicated the issue—the secure protocol results in more resource overhead due to the compute-intensive nature of the secure HTTPS request. According to Cloudflare, the botnet responsible for carrying out the attack represented 6,000 bots from 112 countries around the world. After careful deliberation, we decided to install the following hardware: OCZ ZX 1000w PSU, Asrock 890FX Deluxe4 motherboard, 8GB (2x4GB) Kingston RAM, AMD Phenom II X6 1100T CPU with the Prolimatech Megahalems and Inno3D GeForce GTX 580 OC GPU. We also crammed in half a dozen Western Digital Scorpio Blue 500GB HDDs and a Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 1TB drive. The first step was to install the Prolimatech Megahalems CPU bracket to the back of the Asrock 890FX Deluxe4 motherboard....

Nevertheless, the Pentium E6600 managed to beat the Athlon II X3 435 and Athlon II X4 630 processors in this test. As expected, the Sempron 140 was the slowest AMD processor tested but despite this it was still faster than the Pentium E5400 and Celeron E3300.
