This is quite a significant margin given both motherboards utilized the same memory modules at the same frequency using the same timings. As mentioned earlier, by default the Asrock H55M Pro was overclocking the Core i3 540 processor but we took care of that to make this a fair game. When benchmarking the FSB appeared to be locked at 800MHz, so we are not sure what the case of this extra performance is. The ECS H55H-CM was not far behind the Asrock H55M Pro, making it around 500MB/s faster than the Asus P7H55-M Pro and Gigabyte H55M-UD2H motherboards. The EVEREST Ultimate Edition results back up what we saw when testing memory bandwidth performance with SiSoftware Sandra 2010. Although the write performance is much the same on all four Intel H55 motherboards, it is the read performance that shows a few discrepancies. Again it is the Asrock H55M Pro and ECS H55H-CM motherboards that are found to be around 400MB/s faster than the competition.
