The AMD A8-3850 performs even better in the Maya test, surpassing both the Athlon II X4 640 and Core i5 750. Amazingly, the A8-3850 is just a fraction slower than the six-core Phenom II X6 1100T. Increasing the memory frequency had a huge impact on the A8-3850’s performance, particularly for the CPU test. Here the A8-3850 received a 25% boost and was now within striking distance of the Core i5 750. That said, the OpenGL performance was still a fair way off from various Intel processors.
