When you’re packing the latest and greatest hardware, you expect to be able to play new games in all their glory at some pretty extreme resolutions, so it’s needless to say that we were more than a little disappointed when the GTX Titan offered only 45fps at the lowly setting of 1680x1050. This meant that cards such as the GTX 770 and GTX 680 were only borderline playable if you accept an average frame rate of 30fps. The HD 7950 and GTX 670 fell shy of that threshold, while the new GTX 760 and HD 7850 were simply unable to deliver playable performance.
At 1920x1200, it seems even less likely that gamers are going to be able to play CoH 2 with the settings maxed out as the GTX Titan managed less than 40fps while the HD 7970 rendered just 29fps and the GTX 680 only 25fps.
Extreme resolutions such as 2560x1600 just don’t seem playable in CoH 2 as the GTX Titan averaged just 25fps here while the HD 7970 GHz Edition gave 21fps.
