The HIS Radeon HD 6850 IceQ X Turbo on the other hand averaged 36fps, some 6% faster than a standard HD 6850, 16% faster than the GTX 460, 14% slower than the GTX 560 Ti and 12% slower than the HD 6870. At 2560x1600 we found that the Crossfired HIS Radeon HD 6870 IceQ X Turbo X matched the performance of Nvidia’s almighty GTX 590 while it was just 10% slower than the Radeon HD 6990. Meanwhile the duo was 69% faster than the HD 6970 and 54% faster than the GTX 580. The HIS Radeon HD 6850 IceQ X Turbo cards in Crossfire were also very impressive, averaging 43fps. That’s 32% faster than the HD 6970, 23% faster than the GTX 580, while being 28% slower than the HD 6990 and 20% slower than the GTX 590. When testing with Dragon Age II at 1920x1200, the HIS Radeon HD 6870 IceQ X Turbo X averaged just 28fps, which was on par with the competing GeForce GTX 560 Ti. It was also 8% faster than a standard HD 6870, 18% slower than the GTX 570 and 20% slower than the HD 6950. Despite being overclocked, the HIS Radeon HD 6850 IceQ X Turbo averaged 22fps and couldn’t outpace the standard HD 6850. Meanwhile, it was 4% slower than the GTX 460, 21% slower than the GTX 560 Ti, and it trailed the Radeon HD 6870 by a 15% performance margin. At 2560x1600, a pair of HIS Radeon HD 6870 IceQ X Turbo X mustered up 38fps. Although they were 27% slower than the Radeon HD 6990, they were only 5% behind the GTX 590. Moreover, they were 36% faster than the HD 6970 and 31% faster than the GTX 580. The HIS Radeon HD 6850 IceQ X Turbo Crossfire graphics cards also did very well. Despite averaging just 27fps, they were only 4% slower than the HD 6970 and 7% slower than the GTX 580 – today’s flagship single-GPU graphics cards.
