Mirror’s Edge Catalyst is incredibly demanding when using the ‘Hyper’ quality setting and we see that the RX 480 falls to a 43fps average. The GTX 1060 was 21% faster with an average of 52fps, allowing it to match the Nano and GTX 980.
Now at 1440p the GeForce GTX 1060 is able to average 36fps though this did make it just 13% faster than the RX 480. Here you will see the 4GB graphics cards really struggling due to the high VRAM requirements of the Hyper setting.
We saw an even fight between the RX 480 and the GTX 1060 in Tom Clancy’s The Division and amazingly this is a DX11 title. The GTX 1060 was just 2fps faster as we see similar performance from the RX 480, R9 390X, GTX 1060 and GTX 980.
At 1440p the GTX 1060 is just 5% faster than the RX 480 with both GPUs delivering comparable performance in Tom Clancy’s The Division.
