The AS SSD Benchmark clearly shows in the sequential read test that today’s high-end SSDs are maxing out the SATA 6Gb/s bus. The Vector reached 504MB/s which places it between 500 - 520MB/s, along with over half a dozen other SSDs.
Again the OCZ Vector displayed strong sequential write performance, this time matching the Samsung SSD 840 Pro with 490MB/s.
The OCZ Vector was a beast in the 4K-64 thread test with a throughput of 368.2MB/s, making it 35% faster than the Samsung SSD 840 Pro and 51% faster than the Vertex 4.
Again we see incredible 4K-64 thread performance from the OCZ Vector, this time when measuring write performance. Here the Vector was 31% faster than the next fastest drive, which just happened to be the Kingston HyperX 3K, and 43% faster than the Vertex 4.
The read access time of the OCZ Vector makes it one of the fastest SSDs tested with an access time of just 0.060ms.
The write access time is also very good taking just 0.067ms, though this was slightly higher than the Vertex 4 which took just 0.044ms.
