The treatments, tailor-made for an individual, provide immune systems with genetic code from a specific cancer so only the tumor can be targeted. An improvement over chemotherapy, which attacks many cells, including healthy ones. Essentially, the mRNA vaccines will contain a genetic blueprint to stimulate the immune system to attack cancer cells only....

Block revealed the Cash App breach in a regulatory filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on April 4, writes TechCrunch. It said an ex-employee accessed the customer reports on December 10. “While this employee had regular access to these reports as part of their past job responsibilities, in this instance these reports were accessed without permission after their employment ended,” the filing reads. The accessed reports included customers’ full names and brokerage account numbers....

We found a surprisingly large performance difference between CPUs, including a 14% gap between the Core i7-3960X and Core i7-3770K, something we haven’t seen before. Data from the International Federation of Robotics viewed by The Wall Street Journal revealed that shipments of industrial-grade robots in China increased 45 percent year over year to more than 243,000 units. Citing four people close to the firm, the Financial Times reports that an unspecified number of US citizens and green card holders are being forced to leave YMTC, and several in China have already been shown the door. Last week, Chinese CPU developer Loongson started shipping its 3C5000L server processor. It features 16 cores, a clock rate of up to 2.2 GHz, and utilizes a 12 nm process node. The company claims the CPU can deliver up to 560 GFLOPS of compute performance at 130W without providing any other benchmark numbers. Loongson’s 5000-series processors use its proprietary LoongArch ISA, although they’re also compatible with MIPS to maintain support for applications written for its previous-generation processors....

According to economic analysts, the growing work-from-home trend is “devastating” US cities. With nearly a third of the workforce working remotely, employers find little reason to keep their physical offices open. We were surprised to see less than 60fps from the GeForce GTX Titan with the medium quality settings. Moreover, we were surprised that the Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition and the GeForce GTX 780 delivered similar frame rates. Clearly Nvidia has some work to do here. While frame rates are not quite as important for real-time strategy titles as they are for first person shooters, I really struggle to play with an average of 30fps and I much prefer at least 60fps....

Testing Civilization VI using DX12 you might expect it to favor the 6-core CPU, I know I did. Yet we find quite the opposite here, again I went back and reconfirmed these results as they just didn’t seem right. Dishonored 2 favors the quad-core CPU by a 12% margin when comparing the minimum frame rate and we see much the same when comparing the average frame rate as well....

You can generally expect to see around four times as many mid-towers available as any other form factor at major online retailers. With so many options available, competition is fierce, meaning that there are a number of excellent choices out there. Surprisingly, despite the significant differences in internal design the Corsair Vengeance C70 Military Green and Thermaltake Level 10 GT Battle Edition cases delivered similar idle temperatures, with the latter giving a slightly better GPU temperature yet slightly worse CPU and HDD temperatures. Both performed well next to other cases we’ve tested, despite the CPU being a little warmer than it was in many popular chassis. Under load, the C70 and Level 10 GT Battle Edition again provided similar results, though the Corsair case was slightly cooler....

CrystalDiskMark was one of the first tests I ran upon installing the Crucial Adrenaline and I was shocked by the results. On the first run the Adrenaline took the Western Digital RE4 1TB from 117.3MB/s to a whopping 504.6MB/s. Having run the test a few more times we noticed that the performance did not improve. It seems that NVELO must have optimized the Dataplex software for the CrystalDiskMark benchmark program....
